Family beach photo collage featuring candid and posed shots on sandy shores with driftwood, waves, and lush trees.

It's not often that I get the chance to photograph four generations in one family.

We had to reschedule several times due to rain and storms, and we debated whether to go ahead with this day or not due to forecasted heavy downpours. Luckily we decided to bring the shoot forward an hour in case we had to dodge rain.

I arrived early and it was raining (it had rained most of the way out to this beach!) and constant thunder. But right on time it stopped for us to get one family group shot, before we had to run back to the cars!

Ten minutes later the rain stopped completely, and we were left with some beautiful light. This family photoshoot was a lot of fun, moving around and exploring the beach, rocks and pohutakawa trees.
